My name is Mike Osinski and I will be your website designer.
My mission is to give you a new custom website, so the world can view you. My philosophy is simple - I want your website to showcase you. I will not just fill your website with all the newest fads; unless that is what you want - remember you are paying for it with your money.
Over the years I have seen many internet users, myself included going to a website and getting lost and frustrated. Drowning in all the fancy pop ups and cute fad things that designers do to make themselves stand out and look good. From that point of view these items looks great.
Are you getting lost in their advertisement that is supposed to be your website? I believe your website should make you shine, make you stand out and help others see who you are!
Is all the extra fluff necessary to make a great website? I say NO! All those those extras will make your website download slower, even harder to navigate. Also don’t forget, you are paying for the storage space and bandwidth on a web server.
Today, more and more people are using smart cell phones, wireless laptops / notebooks and newer netbooks to browse the internet. Websites filled with a lot of unnecessary flashy items will slow down the internet browsing on these devices.
Let’s say you are on your laptop in an airport or onsite just before a big meeting, and you need to get some last minute information fast. So, you go online which website do you want to view -
a website that takes forever to load and is hard to navigate? Remember, you are stuck using a Wi-Fi hotspot or cellular connection and those are not as fast as your office or home connection. Wouldn't you prefer to go to a website that loads fast, looks great and is easy to navigate. You find the information you need with time to spare.
Now ask yourself this:
- Which website will they remember?
- Which website will they bookmark?
- And most of all, will that bookmark be your website?
Even if you had a faster connection, do you want to go round and round just to find the information you need, or see your mouse cursor change to a fun new hand or whatever the new fad of the day is, or see pictures popping up every time your mouse moves?
